The security forces busted a militant hideout in the forests of the Chichcha area, about 20 km from Kishtwar, today and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Rashtriya Rifles and the police launched a search operation and busted the hideout, a big natural cave, officials said.
One Pika rifle, one RPG launcher, two .303 rifle, one .315 rifle, 10 UBGL grenades, three Chinese grenades, eight radio sets, including three walky-talkies, one RPG shell, 335 rounds of AK 47 ammunition, 19 rounds of .303 ammunition, two primers and detonators, three hand gloves and 10 head bands were recovered from the hideout.
Meanwhile, another hideout was busted and arms and ammunition was recovered from the forest area in Poonch district today. — TNS
